What’s Included in registration?

  • GVMTB team scheduled practices and Saturday adventure riders are the core of what we offer and are all led by fully licensed and trained NICA Coaching staff

  • PICL hosts 2 adventure rides every year (before race season + after race season) where other MTB teams from the state all come together to explore and enjoy some beautiful state trail systems all while playing fun games on the bike like scavenger hunts and word scrabble. These adventure rides are a ton of fun and typically require an overnight stay due to the distance from our home territory

  • Exclusive Discounts on gear, bikes and services from NICA’s sponsors & partners

  • Before race season begins in September, a Local Dirt event will be scheduled with area local teams to conduct a practice race. These local dirt races are structure and run very similarly to PICL races and they give riders a great chance to feel the racing experience on a smaller scale

  • TTC offers riders the opportunity to give back to the trail systems that we use and love so much by getting out in nature and participating in trail cleanup and building events. Raking out trails, cutting away overgrown brush, improving drainage and building up trail features are all common tasks that riders perform at TTC events. Riders who participate in TTC events are also acknowledged by getting awarded bonus points that get added onto their season race standings.

  • PICL strengthens Pennsylvania’s trail systems by offering growth opportunities for riders interested in trail development and advocacy. One key program—the TTC Team Captain role—empowers a designated student‑athlete to lead their team’s trail‑service efforts and help plan or support special trail projects across the state.

  • GRiT creates welcoming, girl-centered opportunities—from skills camps and regional “Local Dirts” rides to adventure outings and fun tent activities—that help female student‑athletes build confidence, community, and lasting friendships. GRiT Coaches support these efforts by organizing girls‑only practices, collaborative rides with nearby teams, and encouraging student‑driven ideas that make the program thrive.

  • PICL offers flexible financial aid and scholarship opportunities so every rider can participate in practices, events, and team activities - regardless of their financial status.

Financial aid is based on what a family can afford, with partial to full scholarship available.

How much does it cost?

$360 if not racing / $410-455 if racing*

  • Mandatory fee which provides registration into NICA and PICL, which are the governing leagues of GVMTB. Fees are mandatory and made in their rider management system PitZone at the time of registration

  • Mandatory Team fee, which helps cover yearly operational and maintenance costs for your MTB team. This fee is not paid at the time of registration, but facilitated directly by GVMTB later in the season

  • State and Conference race events are optional for riders and may be purchased as an all-in package for $95 or a la carte at $50 per race.‍
